The Meeting
In August 2011, Charlotte and Jeff met at Mohawk Bend. Jeff was standing near the line to order and Charlotte asked if he was in line, not wanting to cut. Jeff promptly replied “no,” and scurried off back to his group of friends. Charlotte ordered her drink. And that was their first encounter.
Each were out with their own friends, and thankfully, the two groups happened to sit next to each other in the crowded bar. Jeff and Charlotte found they had much in common—they also found out they were both going to the same concert that night. The two groups walked to the concert together, and Jeff and Charlotte continued their conversation. They were side by side throughout the concert and have been since, throughout a move to the Bay Area and back. Throughout job changes, and the death of Charlotte’s beloved cat Mortimer, to adopting two new fluffy buddies, Murray and Dougie.
The Wedding
Charlotte and Jeff’s spooky wedding is inspired by The Haunted Mansion, their favorite ride at Disneyland. They’re both fans of the horror genre, and Halloween is a special time of year for the couple as it’s Charlotte’s birthday and Jeff’s favorite holiday. In fact, Halloween is a year-round event in their household. Friends who visit might notice the gravestone out front or the Haunted Mansion art on the walls.
So it seemed fitting to chose a date close to Halloween and a spooky-ooky theme. If you are attending, be ready for a scary good time!

The Honeymoon
Edinburgh, UK
Charlotte and Jeff are planning their honeymoon in Scotland. Charlotte has said Edinburgh is the most beautiful place she has ever been to, and Jeff is looking forward to seeing it with the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.
